On March 30, 2025, the unveiling ceremony of the School of Valve Industry at Kaifeng University and the Shanghai Power Station Valve Factory Training Base was grandly held at the Shanghai Power Station Valve Factory Conference Center. This unveiling ceremony marks a further deepening of school enterprise cooperation and provides a more solid foundation for the training of technical talents in the valve industry. At the same time, the 8th Engineering Capability Evaluation Training Course was successfully held, bringing together experts, students, and business representatives from the valve industry to discuss and share industry development trends and technological innovations.

As the first valve industry college in China, the School of Valve Industry at Kaifeng University has actively responded to the national call for "school enterprise cooperation and integration of industry and education" since its establishment in 2019. Relying on national modern manufacturing training bases, key laboratories for valve intelligent manufacturing, and other platforms, it has accumulated over a thousand technical talents for the industry. Shanghai Power Station Valve Factory, as a well-known domestic power station valve manufacturing enterprise, has repeatedly participated in major power projects with strong technical research and development capabilities and a sound quality management system, and has obtained multiple international certifications. On the day of the unveiling ceremony, leaders and experts including Lin Maolong, Chairman of Shanghai Power Station Valve Factory, and Zhu Yuefeng, Dean of the School of Valve Industry at Kaifeng University, attended the event. At the ceremony, Chairman Lin Maolong delivered a passionate speech, emphasizing the importance of school enterprise cooperation and stating that Shanghai Power Station Valve Factory will fully support the construction and development of the Valve Industry College. Subsequently, leaders such as Yang Heng, Vice President of the Shanghai General Machinery Industry Association, and Zhu Yuefeng, Dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing at Kaifeng University, delivered speeches, expressing that the launch of this cooperation is not only a big step in the development of the valve industry, but also provides strong support for the cultivation of technical talents. On the morning of that day, the eighth phase of engineering capability evaluation training was launched simultaneously. The training covers various aspects such as valve technology, engineering capability evaluation policies, control valve inspection and testing, aiming to enhance the professional quality and practical ability of technical personnel in the valve industry. More than 40 students from major enterprises and universities participated in the training. The morning training included a keynote lecture by Han Yonggang, the project manager of the Talent Development Department of the China Instrument and Meter Society, on "Evaluation Policies and Interview Details for Engineers", and a course on "Control Valve Inspection and Testing" by Wang Keqiang, a specially appointed lecturer at the School of Valve Industry, Kaifeng University.

The afternoon training focused on the current development status and prospects of high-end valves at home and abroad, and provided a detailed explanation of the ability evaluation and application process for engineering and technical personnel. Through expert lectures, company visits, and Q&A sessions, students not only mastered the latest industry technology trends, but also improved their own engineering ability evaluation level.
